Guy Lafferty - Chairman, HCP Group
Guy Lafferty is the Chairman of Höegh Capital Partners Limited. He established Höegh Capital Partners Limited (formerly Lafferty & Partners Limited) in 1990 as a specialist corporate finance company. He has advised Höegh Capital Partners on its oil, gas and other direct investments since 1990. Previously Guy worked at the investment banking arm of The Royal Bank of Canada and for the National Westminster Bank in London and New York.
Martine Vice Holter - Managing Director, HCP Group
Martine Vice Holter is Managing Director of Höegh Capital Partners. She manages all aspects of the HCP Group cross-location. Martine initially joined HCP as Chief Operating Officer in 2004. From 2000 to 2004, she acted as Chief Operating Officer of Arts Alliance Advisors, a venture capital organisation and a division of Höegh Capital Partners. Prior to joining Arts Alliance, Martine worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in London. Before McKinsey, she worked in corporate finance at Goldman Sachs in both New York and Hong Kong. Martine received her MBA from INSEAD and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Economics and Political Science from Queen’s University in Canada.
Shahnaz Batmanghelidj - Director, HCP NYC
Shahnaz Batmanghelidj is President of Höegh Capital Partners Inc and joined HCP in 2000. Shahnaz provides coverage of third party funds within North America, with an emphasis on private equity and long only equity funds. She previously worked at Drexel Burnham Lambert. Shahnaz holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford, an MA from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Erik Grundt Olsen - Director, HCP Oslo
Erik has worked within the Höegh Group since he completed his degree from the Norwegian School of Economic and Business Administration in 1980. He was appointed Financial Portfolio Manager for the Höegh's ship-owning companies in 1989, investing surplus cash in bonds and equities, as well as managing currency exposure. Erik was employed by HCP ASA as Senior Portfolio Manager when it was established in 2006 to manage liquid assets for Höegh Capital Partners and the broader Höegh Group. Erik is a CFA charterholder.
Clare Hawkins - Vice President, HCP London
Clare Hawkins joined HCP in 2008 as a Vice President. Clare focuses on private equity, direct investments, hedge funds and client servicing. Previously she spent five years as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company, and two years working on a new business joint venture between Vodafone Group Plc and Vivendi. Clare holds an MA in Human Sciences from Magdalen College, Oxford University.
Tom Balls - Vice President, HCP London
Tom joined HCP in 2002 as an Analyst. Tom focuses on liquid assets, hedge funds and asset allocation. Tom holds an MA in Mathematical Sciences from Jesus College, Oxford University and became a CFA charterholder in 2006.
Håkon Thorvaldsen - Vice President, HCP Oslo
Håkon joined HCP Oslo when it was established in 2006. He previously worked in the finance department of the shipping company, Leif Höegh & Co, where he was hired in 2001. Håkon holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Newcastle, Australia. His current focus is liquid asset management.
Gareth Ringer - Associate, HCP London
Gareth joined HCP in 2004 as an Analyst. Gareth focuses on the HCP private equity fund of funds portfolio as well as HCP’s private and publicly held direct investments. Gareth holds an MSci and an MA in Natural Sciences from Trinity College, Cambridge University. Gareth became a CFA charterholder in 2009.

Malcolm Monteiro is an Associate and joined HCP in 2008 from Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He holds an MA CASM in Mathematics from Queens College, Cambridge University. Malcolm became a CFA charterholder in 2009.

Carlo Ravizza is an Associate and joined HCP in 2010. He previously worked as a Management Consultant at Bain & Company and McKinsey Company in Rome.
Carlo holds an MBA from London Business School and a BA in Business Administration from the University of Turin.
Blossom Tang - Analyst, HCP London
Blossom Tang is an Analyst and joined HCP in 2010 from Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Blossom holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an MEng in Aerospace Engineering from Queen Mary, University of London.
